It is with deepest sympathy to the family of Bernice Blount , (92), that we share the news of her passing.  Bernice was the founding director of Blount Hospitality House and gave her heart and soul to it for 25 years.  In addition, she & her husband, James, were members of Holmes Street UMC for close to 70 years, giving many of her hours as a volunteer there.  She was preceded in death by her sweet husband, James Blount and her son Marvin Blount, and is survived by her daughters, Donna Conte (and family) of Montgomery & Sharon Blount (of Birmingham).  We rejoice, knowing she and James are both whole and dancing together again with Marvin!  She is going to be greatly missed.  If you would like to make a donation in her honor, we are grateful and will happily let her family know of your generosity.
